High Wycombe, UK, March 2nd, 2005 – Disruptive Technology Channels, a UK-based distributor of consumer electronics products and owner of the PodGear brand of iPod™ accessories, today announced the launch of the SyncBuddy Firewire; a retractable Firewire Sync and Charge cable for all iPod’s with a dock connector.

The launch of the SyncBuddy Firewire comes at perfect timing following Apple’s™ announcement that the latest iPod Mini™ and iPod Photo™ will now only be supplied with a USB 2.0 cable. This means that those iPod users without a USB 2.0 port on their PC or Mac will be unable to Sync and Charge without buying an additional cable.

Not only filling this new gap, the SyncBuddy Firewire provides the perfect solution for existing iPod owners who like to listen to their music on the go. When combined with the PodGear FirePower AC adaptor, it provides a complete charging solution that’s both versatile and easily portable.
